Darcy Lange has never been normal. Ever since she could remember, she has been able to see and communicate with ghosts. Or they have been trying to talk with her, but she doesn't want any part of them. Now as an adult, the voices and spirits seem more restless as of late. And they don't seem to be wanting to leave Darcy alone.

As if that isn't frightening enough, it seems she has been attracting the eyes of other spiritual presences, like that of the Angel of Death. After a party gone wrong, he reveals himself to her. Darcy is soon shown that the world she thought she knew all about is actually more than it seems. Demons and angels exist, a war is going on, and somehow she has ended up in the middle of it.
