A soon-to-be trainer falls into a never ending dream where he becomes a Riolu. He playfully tells fellow Pokemon in,what he thinks is a dream, that he is Ryu, A Riolu that he named after his partner in the real world. He eventually realizes that this dream is far too long to be a normal dream and seeks a way out of it. With the help of two friendly Pokemon, he tries to find a way out of the dream. But in the process of doing so, they discover a greater evil.
