Counting stars always made Maya feel like anything can happen. Even though things can seem untamable you can reach your hand out and imagine you catching a star. That is until her mother passes and then her father. 

Maya hasn’t looked at the stars since. Her motivation isn’t what it used to be and in hopes to help her get back to the way she was her uncle steps in to bring her to live with him. Maya will come into contact with situations and people that will change her aspect on life since her parents passed.
