"I hate you," she muttered and I was taken aback. I looked at the guys for a quick second and back at her. "W-" "Don't ever scare me like that again," she said harshly, colliding with my body. I cringed hard and Erik pulled away so he wasn't in the middle of our embrace. I wrapped my arm around her tight waist and held her against me. I never planned on letting her go. Ever. "I'll try. She still owes some people money and now they want to kill her. She hides her identity away from these men. That doesn't necessarily mean that they don't know where she is though . . . Rachel has like Chase since sixth grade. He was super cute but he was such a player, even in middle school. She knew that he would just break her heart but she took a chance on him in her senior year. He isn't quite what she expected him to be towards someone like her. Chase is a tough cliche bad boy with a long line of fighting in the past only because he cared about his older brother and was trying to pay off his debt. Little did he know that the boss of his fights had a connection with Rachel. Chase had always seen Rachel as the nerdy girl that had a pretty face. He would've never thought that he would have a strong set of feelings towards her. She has shocked him in so many ways and he's sure that she will surprise him more in the future. These to completely different people are so much alike. What happens when Rachel falls for the bad boy again and Chase realizes Rachel as something more than a nerd? Read and find out! As I walk into the school, he spots me and immediately starts talking to me. I brush past him, ignoring him, but today is definitely not my lucky day... He grabs my arm firmly, stopping me, and turns me to face him. The pain on my face contorts his expression. "What's wrong, Emma? Lost your voice, lizard?" I don't look at him; my head is hung low once again. "When I'm talking, you need to look at me!" he shouts, lifting my chin so I have to meet his gaze. I look at him, but it's not with innocence; it's with anger. "Oh, look, Emma's angry, everyone!" he mocks. "Just leave me alone," I say, meeting his eyes as I pull my arm free from his grip and walk away. He stares at me, shocked, as do all the kids around us, not expecting what I just did.

There was something about him. Or maybe there was something about me. I didn't want him in my life but he ran into it; literally. He liked to hide in trees, irritate me, and read books; despite the fact that it went against his image. He was more than meets the eye. Although at first I didn't want to know more. He lured me in like an unsuspecting moth to an open flame. Knowing the dangers I went in, wanting to know more. It could hurt me but it was too irresistible and I was drawn in. This isn't how the bad boy made me bad or about how I made him good. This is about how we changed each other lives. In good and bad ways. Whatever that means. "I don't bite.... hard." He smirked at me, winking one of his bright hazel eyes at me. It only made me more frustrated. "Yeah but Hunter, if you did you'd probably give me rabies." I rolled my eyes looking back at the book in my hand.

I let a smirk take it's place on my face as I sauntered over towards him. He looked very amused, but I knew what I was doing. "I heard you're a player." I stated innocently, looking deeply into his cerulean eyes. "What's it to you?" his eyes squinted together as if trying to figure out my intentions. I rubbed my hands together and chuckled humorlessly. "Well I'm a player too, and I want to play a little game." He crossed his arms and leaned back against the lockers. "Do tell." I could tell he was playing along, thinking I was joking around and flirting as always. He was so wrong. In fact, I'd never been more serious in my life. "That's the fun part. We're going to be exclusive." I noted gesturing to the both of us. "We'll do everything like a real couple. Kiss, hold hands, go on dates; the whole package. The first person to fall in love loses."

"Oh," he said, as my back hit the wooden wall. Damn it, of course. With nowhere to go, his arms locked me in between him and the wall. He stared down at me as he said, "So you're trying to piss me off?" His lips were surprisingly close to mine. No guy would ever be this close to me in real life, let alone me being able to handle it; I would've been so timid and afraid. But this was the dream world. I could speak and be as brave as I wanted to. "Yeah, I am," I said. "What are you gonna do about it?" He paused as his eyes looked between the two of mine. Then, he smirked and swiftly closed the gap between our lips. ~~ In a small town in New York, Hazel is your average quiet type. In a school full of clichés, she falls perfectly under the category of "nerd" and has her own little nerdy group of people she loves to hang around. They respect the fact that she's non-verbal. The thing that plagues her is her ability to go through anybody's and everybody's dreams which has a nasty side effect--she lost her ability to speak in the real world. This is not something she can control, nor something that's necessarily dangerous. It just happens. One second she's in darkness, the next second she happens to be in someone's dream. But, when she stumbles into a dream of a guy she never knew existed in her grade of 500 students, albeit his popular status, both her worlds get flipped upside down.

Today is my first day of a new school , I'm so happy that I didn't think anything could go wrong......but it did because life's a bitch . I was walking the hallways with my stuff that I got from the guidance office and I bump into a wall....no, not a wall....a living, breathing human . "Watch where you're going." He angrily muttered . I knew that voice anywhere. I looked up and saw him there, he stood tall in black jeans and a white t-shirt, staring at the ceiling . "Well, well, well, hello asshole." I said, glaring up at him. His eyes widened. "What the fuck are you doing here?!" He asked me. "Apparently bumping into you." I said. "I hate you!" He said. "So do I, but you know what they say... actions speak louder than words." I said punching him square in the face. He fell down holding his jaw. "I hope it hurt." I said. Then I casually walked away like nothing ever happened, hiding my bruised hand in my jacket pocket. [COMPLETED]

The corner of his mouth tilts upward slightly. I smile again. A smile!? A tiny one, but still. "Hm. So I got you to smile, that's progress, yeah? Can I get your name now?" I ask, swinging my feel a little. He shakes his head shyly, his mouth not moving at all. Geez! Why do I want to hear this dude talk so much? "Okay, that's fine. I can give you a nickname." I offer happily. He looks up from his book, raising his eyebrows. I just stare for a moment. He has nice eyes. Pretty brown chocolate orbs. They remind me so much of....... "Teddy." He shakes his head immediately, frowning. "What, why not? You remind me of my old teddy bear. He was a good listener and he didn't talk much..... just like you." I say softly, tilting my head. He continues to shake his head. I fold my arms, leaning back in my seat. "Yeah, it's definitely sticking. Teddy.....It has a nice ring to it, yeah?" He sighs, the first sound I have ever heard him make. "No." . . . *Jordan* Teddy!? Seriously!? She gave me a fucking NICKNAME!? What the hell does this girl want!? I stuff my hands into my pockets, walking down the busy street. Forget about her. She's just a annoying pretty girl, she'll go away. Everybody does. She HAS to go away. *Spoiler alert*: she doesn't. Don't get close to people or they'll end up getting hurt. That's my mindset. I've been through enough of that. This girl doesn't belong in my world anyway. She's too innocent. *Mature content* {Just a quick update, I am basically rewriting the story. I wrote it when I was in 8th grade and it makes me cringe every time I try to go back and edit it so keep in mind that it'll get better}

Take a ride with Iris on this beautiful journey, where she learns to live with her past, an hopefully discovers secrets that help her find who she truly is. I sat over the boundary wall thinking all this all by to myself. Sitting on the terrace alone with those thoughts, was the only time I could be myself. Suddenly there was a thud. I was startled but held on firmly. No one is supposed to know I am here, what if they find out.. what will I do.......... I had no answers. With fear I turned around expecting someone familiar, someone who discovered me,my place and waiting for that nagging voice. But what I found was a guy, an unfamiliar face, which brought to me a feeling of relief. But at the same time I felt a strange sensation, feeling I don't know afraid. The guy, clad in yellow shirt and sweatpants, with messy jet black hair, and pretty eyes looking at me with a questionable look. I don't know just what to say. I am feeling I am being interrogated, but how can there be such an effect just with one expression? I mean I should be the one with questions, after all this rather unknown potentially dangerous guy just somehow jumps to my terrace and instead of giving an apology looks at me with those questionable eyes. I wonder who the hell he thinks he... "Ummm... Are u all right miss?"

Staring at the gun in his hand as he stalks towards me with a devilish smirk on his face, I feel the bone-chilling fear rises within me. My back is against the wall and I'm trapped as he stands in front of me, his body so close to me that I can almost feel it touching me, and somehow I crave for his touch. I stare deep into his kohl black eyes and somehow his eyes tell me everything that I need to know. He does have feelings after all yet is confused about them. "You belong to me!" He says harshly, and before I could even process his words his lips capture mine in a possessive matter.
