A class went on a excursion and the bus broke down, they were on a trip to a new park that just opened up. While stranded with no cell phone connection something appeared in the shadows they didn't know what it was so they built small shelters and they found old hatchets. they went to find food as they had eaten their lunches already at a playground,half the class went to look for help and they came across a small town and got help and came back and told the rest of the class.
This is my very first story that i have ever done in my life. it may not be very good so i will appreciate it if people can leave friendly pointers on how to improve for future stories of mine.

Every day without fail, I take a hour walk in the forest behind my home after school. This time something happened that I didn't even expect in these woods. It's a mix of all of my favorite genres. I've mixed a fantasy, based on present-day Earth, with plenty of graphic horror and wrapped it all up within a world driven by the technological advancements that only can be obtained from millions of years of civilation. A small group of strangers find themselves surviving in a decimated world. It's bad enough to be stranded in a no-name town, but things become surreal when you realize the vast majority of humanity has died...it becomes terrifying when you realize you aren't that lucky to be alive. "Survivor's Guilt" isn't a thing when you find yourself the sole food source for an entire group of beings that no longer need to hide in the shadows. Man is no longer at the top of the food chain...they are now the cattle.
