The Union

We've all heard stories of people disappearing from one world, and appearing in another. We've also heard about vehicles along with their crew doing the same. But what about whole nations?

It was the middle of the 21st century, and the Cold War had finally come to an end.

The USSR and the United States, after a century of disagreements and minor conflicts, finally signed a treaty in which a condition was that each nation would undergo massive governmental reformations.

In the USSR, the gulags were shut down, the wrongfully convicted were released, and the governors weren't tyrannical. Vast economic improvements took place, thanks to Western aid. And from the economy, came the technological advancements.

The US, only the violence and discrimination changed.

Morale was at an all time high, for many years until in 2071, communications from the USSR ceased.

Worried, the United Nations investigated and found nothing....

Where the mighty nation lied, there remained nothing.

Nothing but ocean...
