A high school romance with a dash of magic. What seems to be a simple love story between a wolf and a fox turns into something far more serious. Something which threatens both their love, and the very fate of the world. Bullied ever since he started high school, Daniel Southpaw, a fox in the tenth grade, can't believe his eyes when he meets the two new wolves in the high school. Sarkis Freeheart, a recent and popular celebrity for his heroic deeds of defeating the resurfacing evil in the world, and Matt Freeheart, Sarkis' brother, are suddenly in Dan's classes. Dan's entire life is turned around when he meets them, after all, it's not every day you get to be friends with a huge hero and celebrity like Sarkis! And Dan totally doesn't have a crush on Sarkis... definitely. Yet, despite his joy and bashfulness at this turn of events, Dan notices that Sarkis is very protective of Matt, and every once in a while Matt is unable to go to class due to an illness. This illness keeps reoccurring, and neither Matt or Sarkis will give a proper explanation. Caring about his friends, while trying not to be distracted by the two new sets of abs in the locker room, Dan takes it upon himself to figure out the cause of Matt and Sarkis' odd behaviour. Though he finds love along the way, he also uncovers a dark, dark secret... ~~ ~~ ~~ This story contains furries, highschool, straight and gay relationships, and some fantastical/magical aspects as well (magic and spells and such). Let the drama of a modern society high school mingle with fantastical beasts and magic. The cover art is not mine! Synopsis: "The Flames of the Heart: Campus Shenanigans" Joules Hayden, a shy, blue wolf with a penchant for getting flustered at the smallest of things, is just trying to make it through college life without setting off any more awkward moments. Enter Taiga Volt, a red-hot, muscular dragon with a dangerous mix of charm and irresistible flirtation. What starts as a simple friendship quickly grows into something more-something full of stolen glances, flirtatious teasing, and a whole lot of heat. But when Joules' family gets wind of Taiga and decides he's the "bad influence" their son doesn't need, everything goes from complicated to downright explosive. With Joules torn between his family's expectations and his growing feelings for Taiga, Metre (the ever-sarcastic bunny with a filthy sense of humor) steps in to help keep things light while offering some surprisingly heartfelt advice. As Joules and Taiga face family drama, navigate messy feelings, and learn what it really means to fight for love, they discover that sometimes, the biggest obstacles aren't just the people in your life-they're the doubts inside your own heart. From awkward family dinners with disapproving glares to stolen kisses in the soft glow of sunset, The Flames of the Heart is a story about overcoming the flames of judgment and fear to embrace the one thing that truly matters: love. Along the way, there's laughter, mischief, and a whole lot of romantic heat that will leave you feeling like you just got wrapped up in a warm, passionate embrace. With passion that can burn brighter than a dragon's flame, this story proves that when your heart is on fire, you'll do anything to keep the flames alive.
