They say that they listen, that they understand how we feel. But all they hear is words. They don't know how heavy the words felt on our tongue, how much strength it took to say them out loud. But no one hears that part of the story.
Instead of yelling through glass walls, we find solace in the power of a pencil. There is no judgement, no expectations, no half-hearted words. Just us and a blank canvas, as it pieces together all the thoughts running through our heads.
They ask why we write. Because nobody really listens.

His Sweet Lies
Her brows furrowed. "You look like you have something specific you wanna ask me." The tips of Liam's ears turned red at Emma's very accurate observation. "I, uh... I usually just bullshit my way through projects, so I have no idea what the hell I'm doing." The corners of Emma's lips formed a small smile. Liam arched his brow. "What are you smiling at?" Her smile widened. "Nothing." Ever since Emma started going to Silver Creek High, she's been bullied over her discolored eyes. It all started when a boy brought attention to her in biology class one day, laughing at her and calling her a "freak" while the rest of the class laughed along with him. She never looked at him or saw his face; she just ran out of the room crying. She was now an outcast labeled as a freak and she wanted nothing more than to just disappear. She felt she had no purpose in life. Until her sophomore year when she fell in love with Liam, the guy every girl wanted; the guy every dude wanted to be. He had stolen her heart and she now wanted nothing more than to be with him. Unfortunately, Liam seemed to want nothing to do with Emma. He seemed to be straight up avoiding her. They never interacted for 3 whole years. That is, until now in their senior year, when they get paired up for a school project. The two must put their differences aside and try to work as a team. But as they spend more time together, feelings grow deeper, and secrets start to rise to the surface. Do you know the times when you want to say something, but can't? Or the times when you are sad and need someone to give you a hug? The times your worst enemy hugs your boyfriend? Or the times you are so angry you punch a locker and have to pay to get it repaired? Well with writing my thoughts, passions, anger triggers, enemies, love, hatred, even happiness out for people. Makes me feel like someone can relate to me and I can impact them in any simple or complex way they deem fit. I write because I can and I become free with every word written from my mind, every letter and messed up grammar I have accidentally committed to butchering every time I write. I may not make a difference, heck, I may not even have a lot of people who read but those who do read when I write about how I thought up a story plot or something for my best friend, they will always make me feel like I'm making the difference because someone actually read what I thought at a certain time and day and maybe even listened. That's what makes me feel wanted and happy like I can do something other than run my stubborn mouth and have a mother hen personality. "She's right! She's right! I don't cut in the right spot." My hold tightens on my wrist. The red blood oozes out of my wrist. I slide up and grab my bag and run out of the bathroom. Just a little warning, the writing sucks. I made this version in the summer of 2024, so don't expect it to be like how my writing is now. I guess I should've continued my book, huh? UPDATED DESC: I've always thought that the vibrance of colors were truly real. The way blue was used, it gave me a sense of motivation. Although, I can't seem to remember the outside world anymore. The way everything seems to darken, I can't even remember how I look like. It's feeding on me, I know it. INSPIRED HEAVILY FROM OMORI. Most of the story thats comes from Omori is actually written on here, so I'll revise it to the best to my ability so it makes more sense. I don't want to just make it seem like I copy and pasted the whole plot of Omori and just changed the characters. That would be wrong. CHANGE OF PLANS: Yea no, I'm leaving it the way it is.
