Alexandra Barrow was a normal girl of sixteen when she died in 1626. While saving her brother from a mountain lion, she was attacked and killed by the beast. She woke up as a spirit with no recollection of who she was, how she ended up in the woods, and why she suddenly possessed the power to manipulate wind and fly freely through the air. All she knew was her name, and the fact that she was alone. After fifty years or so, and discovering her various powers, Allie is confronted by a boy. His eyes an icy blue, his hair and complexion a milky white. His name is Jack Frost, and the two of them together become an unstoppable duo of mischief makers. But when Jack alone is called to action to help the legendary Guardians of Childhood save the children of the world from an ancient shadow, their friendship will be pushed to the limits. Will Allie's jealousy of her friend having a true purpose tear apart their friendship, and will Allie be able to discover her origins and purpose without betraying her friends to their most hated enemy?
