Gender and sexuality are confusing. Especially, if you live in a conservative household with a very traditional Christian mother. It becomes even harder when you're constantly moving and you're stuck in a family of cishet Christians and therefore surrounded by friends in the same group. That's what 16 year old Candice is going through, but what happens when she moves to the most openly queer town she's ever been in? What happens when she becomes friends with most of those kids?

An LGBT coming of age story where a girl realizes she's actually a guy and finds out more about himself than he ever thought possible.

Names of bands, band members and song titles have been changed but at this point I want to credit mainly Palaye Royale, the band 'Homesick Soldiers' that is mentioned throughout is heavily based off them, but I'm sure if you're familiar with them you would have been able to tell that :)

Five of these lovely characters share their own little tales of how love changes them first go, or their first time in forever! Their perspectives on love as it takes effect either get sensual, dramatic, or to the extent of a slow burn, as they also deal with life's obstacles along the way and share a part in each other's stories. There are ups and downs as their own stories go along, and it all gets more suspenseful towards the end where problems unfortunately arise. Will things get better or worse from here for these lovestruck lesbians as the story goes on? This is a story written for pride month 2024.
