Arkin Aland has been told, by his grandfather, that dragons are creatures that exist in a secret world that lies at the end of the world, out of touch from humans and that it was there job to protect it. He used to believe it whenever he was little, but now that he's 17, he doesn't...until one day, while in the woods, he encounters the impossible; a dragon, and his whole life gets turned upside down. 

Now responsible for taking care of a feisty, fire breathing Night Fury, Arkin forms an unlikely friendship with a very creature that, just a week ago, he didn't believe in and save the very world he had heard in bedtime stories from danger.
