"Give me an equation and I can solve it," Dusk starts, "Ask me to remember where I put an article of clothing and you may as well be asking me the impossible!" 
     "That's what you have me for!" Dawn says as she hugs Dusk.
     "I almost didn't..." Dusk says under her breathe.    In the mirror, she sees two sets of identical blue eyes. 
     "And that is what I have you for, genius.

When Evita starts asking questions Evelyn Sheer, the head of the city's Department of Energy, takes her captive and places her in a secret, underground research facility. Evelyn Sheer and the researchers are trying to create a genetic modification that enables humans to photosynthesize. Once in the facility, Evita is tagged as a test subject and loses all say over what happens to her body. She has to escape. By the time she comes up with a plan there is only one problem. Evita isn't ready to leave.

But then Skylar's adoptive family decides to move across the country to find a new school for their daughter, which happens to be the school Jake goes to. They meet completely by accident. In the meantime, their parents have found a way to fix their mistake from 12 years ago -- they can make one of the twins perfect. But it requires for the other twin to give their life.
