Hannah was born with a rare disease that affected her lungs and heart. For the first six years of her life, she needed constant potions to keep her alive. While her parents were more than happy to see them brewed, when they were murdered it became a problem. Hannah needed to stay with wizards, while her brother, the boy who lived, would be safer with their muggle relatives.

Harry was born with a target on his back, the darkest wizard of the time deciding that Harry had to die, despite being only a baby. Thanks to this when his parents past Harry is forced to spend the next years of his life being physically and emotionally abused.

Despite the differences in their upbringing Hannah and Harry are as close as thieves when they finally meet. Both say they found their missing piece and both are determined to never lose it. Hannah will do anything for Harry, which she proves when the start Hogwarts.
