NAVEL GAZING: excessive absorption in self-analysis or focus on a single issue
-A Lie I decided to focus on family, choosing to believe-and have faith-that everything else would fall into place. I wasn't comfortable (or good) at lying to her. So, when Samantha surprised me one day by swallowing her pride and asking directly if anything had happened during our break, I hesitated. The silence, I believed, said it all. As sad as it may be, we live in a world where the rich are getting richer, and the poor live in worse conditions every day. A world where people have to live behind masks and hide who they truly are, just to be accepted into this corrupted society. A world where everyone primarily thinks of himself and not about what he could to help his brother in need? Dive into my vision, be bold enough to read these chapters, and accept that you may have also been committing these mistakes that corrupt our society and together, let us grow into better versions of ourselves and begin to wonder; what if this had happened to me?
