He was the beta in his world. She was the vampire. They were in a relationship. A secret relationship. He wouldn't be able to explain his interest in the vampire to others. He wouldn't be able to explain the blood sucker to others. When the alpha dies without a heir, he is forced into the alpha position of the strongest pack in the world, the White Moon pack. He was suppose to be the ruthless, killer alpha. It was years since they were last seen by others. He became the ruthless alpha and she became the vampire who pretended to be human. What was he suppose to do when she was brought to his house in the middle of the night bloody, beaten, and chained? Her charge, sneaking into the White Moon pack. Punished by death. What was he suppose to do? What was he suppose to do when he learns she's pregnant with a hybrid? A vampire and a werewolf. Is he suppose to watch her get killed or tell his pack she's his mate? Is he suppose to tell others he's been sneaking in the vampire like she was his whore? How was he suppose to explain this? Maybe, he'll just get rid of the evidence. After all, he's the ruthless alpha of the White Moon pack... (May contain explicit language and sexual content)
