~Thank you for the continued love for this series! I was 13 when I began this book, and am now taking the time to go back to completely rewrite it, and maybe just publish someday~
I'm 15 and my name is Astrix. Let's start with that. That seems like an easy thing to start with. Now, let me add in some other details. I live in a zombie apocalypse. Yeah, that's about as enjoyable as I can make it seem. Now let me add in something else. I'm wanted by the CIA for reasons that I don't even know, but I guess I will find out eventually. Maybe somewhere within my story I will figure it out. I'm well known as The Bad Ass for reasons that are kind of obvious once you meet me. Maybe that's why they're after me? Because I'm a Bad Ass? Nope, I doubt that.
Well anyways, the answers are out there. Along with the answers to my past. The answer to life even. Maybe it really is 42 but I don't think it would hurt to start looking at one. So here we go. Chapter one.

This is a second view point from my original story - A Different Virus - Heartfire. I highly advise reading the original book first. Intro: Laura was a happy child without a care in the world. She loved her parents and life was perfect. Nothing seemed like it could go wrong. People started talking about a bad flu that was spreading and sending some into a coma. Her parents grew worried and stocked the house in case of a pandemic. Months later another virus appeared. Her family was shocked when the news people started reporting that zombies were actually real and not just part of a horror movie. They were appearing in every country. Her parents reassured her that none of the zombie sightings had been anywhere close to them. Her life is turned upside down when her father ends up in hospital with the bad flu and mother exiles her upstairs for her safety. She was never allowed downstairs again. Weeks pass and the streets become deserted with the exception of the red eyed zombies that wandered around. One night she notices a swiftly moving figure with glowing blue eyes in the street below. Should she call out or remain silent? This story isn't about how a hero will rise and bring the world back to what it was Pre-Fall. This story is about me, an ordinary Remanat living life through the world day to day as a mercenary. A beginner mercenary as everyone likes to remind me. The others in my group have been calling me 'Rookie' since I joined them three months ago. I'm beginning to wonder if they actually know my name. We have been hired to help the New Reach Caravan travel across the wastelands to Philly Del Phia, and this is the perfect opportunity to show them that I'm not just a dumb Rookie. Hello, Logan here. It is 2021, and this is the first book that I ever wrote. It's shit. I'm publishing it back on Wattpad again so my friend can read it. It is unedited and as I left it in 2017. I am currently published with three books out, and this is so funny to look back on. Enjoy reading my shittest work to date. In the words of a great philosopher; there is no limit to the gruesome and grotesque things we are willing to do in the name of survival. While reading this; Remember that not everything is as it seems. Remember that loved characters will die. Remember that the world will gradually get worse as the parts go on. Take a moment to ask yourselves these questions: What would you do in the name of survival? Would you steal to survive? Would you kill to survive? Would you lose your mind to survive? If you lost your mind, do you think you'd kill more, steal, injure, backstab, rape or any other atrocity you can think of? If you can think of it, then maybe you would. The characters and situations in this book are very real, if gore or horrific mental images scare you, then I wouldn't recommend reading far. DESCRIPTION: The Infection claimed the lives of over 3 billion people before the TV's went off. But it would claim many more. The problem didn't arise when those people got up and started walking again, or even when they started eating and infecting others, it began when people got desperate. Firstly, A trigger warning for mental health/ self inflicted wounds when reading. you're only 18 years old. your name is zoe. you always had a love for the apocalypse but didn't think it would truly happen. and you slowly learn that nobody is who they say they are. Nobody is to be trusted. Things are gonna fall apart, and nobody can save us now. This book is being rewritten again and hopefully is better than the first and second time it was published. It's kind of cringe most of the way. Wrote it when i was like 13-14 years old or something and tried rewriting when I was about 16. Didn't work. Trying to rewrite it again at 20 but i don't think the first two books are saveable. Book three so far however is going well(i believe anyway). The second book has also been rewritten and will be rewritten again. now I'm working on finishing book three. All characters are mine but ellis is not I will be changing a lot of character names again in this rewriting process in all books, ellis being the biggest.Complete
