She is scared. She is afraid. But she is still standing there. She is still waiting. Waiting. She knows the night is long. And those big eyes stuck to the window glass, glaring at her are going to stay there for the rest of the night. She is standing her ground. She knows she had been stalked. She knows who he is. But she fears if she can survive it. (This is the very first story of my secret series. I am working on a short story series mostly comprising of antagonists. The series is very dark and gritty, and also very entertaining. The Stalker is an important character in this story series. He is a villain. So, don't fantasize him. Well, enjoy the story.)

In the darkness of the night, he lurks; Standing in darkened areas beside the house where the bushes and trees separate the house from the privacy fence. He watches a window, waiting until the house grows dark for everyone to be asleep, before stepping out from behind his fortress of trees. He stands there only for a split second before returning into the solitude and safety of his hiding place. He does this every night and has done this every night for quite some time. He watches and waits for the moment to strike and deep-down hopes that it will never come. Meanwhile inside the house is a family that knows nothing of the stranger standing only a matter of feet on the other side of their walls. They slip off into their dream world every night knowing that they are safe, fearing nothing but the sound of the alarm clock in the morning. For them, time slips away while their eyes are closed tightly, and their dreams come swiftly into their heads, but for the man in the shadows the night goes by slowly as he waits. He was trained not to move, and when he did move not to make a sound, so he could slip through any structure without them being aware of his existence. He knows the house very well and has been in it at least once a day, even when the family was awake. The grounds around the house are his only weaknesses he cannot be at more than one place at a time, so he must walk the perimeter at all times watching and waiting.....
