Welcome to the dwelling of heavenly academics, all those who failed in life but aren't bad enough to go to Hell.

In the state of purgatory, spirits are purified with fire in order to be able to reach Heaven. That fire is Purg Academy, the only school in the afterlife which was established to educate the younger spirits and prepare them for Heaven.

In order to graduate, students must fully use their memoirs, relics of old memories and rediscover themselves. Only then can they gain their wings and reach Heaven.Public Domain

Having discovered that he, and only he, has the ability to draw demons out of the Possessed, he decides that he must have been chosen to lead the 'new world.' However, his attempts to bring the 'chosen few' under his wing do not go as well as he hopes. Lindsey, on the other hand, falls into a category of his own. As a vampire, death is no stranger, but given the lack of newly deads to choose from after the post-Flu population drop, avoiding starvation has become a struggle. He survives by sleeping through his days, but the arrival of a past enemy and a less-than-wise decision to help a murderer force him back onto the road. Unfortunately, he quickly discovers that the new world does not follow the same logic that it did before. TL;DR - Most of the world died from a flu pandemic so there's a post-apocalyptic type situation where demons possess people.

The Sins they have committed are minor, but they're enough to get them into the Eternal Shit House. The Devil comes to each of them in many forms and hands them each individual tasks they must perform to see where they belong in Hell. Some have accepted their fate and work hard to be one of His Greats. Others try finding an escape and a second chance at Life and Heaven. If they fail these tasks, they're stuck back in line with no short cuts. May be a tad confusing to read because the perspectives bounce from first to third person depending on who's narrating. I'll try fixing it if it's too difficult. Started: 3/16
