atsushi sees colorful strings on five of his fingers; and there's one that's tightly wrapped around his neck. he wishes he doesn't have the red string, because at the end of the string is a person he can't have. looped around with the purple color, that tightens around the red string.

dazai doesn't see any strings on his fingers; he watches atsushi take in deep shaky breaths and scratch at his neck as if something was there, always leaving a bruising ring. he wishes he could see was atsushi sees, because it seems the light haired boy always shoot dazai a sad gaze. and he always squeezed his pinkie with a bit of pain in his expression, a frown etched on his lips.

atsushi wishes he can't see the strings;
dazai wishes he could see what the other can see.
