A lone demon wolf named Mortem (Latin for death) was once a human, but died protecting a wolf cub from poachers and was taken pity upon by the wolf goddess: Leto, and was brought out of the underworld (the place you go when you die) and given a second chance as a demonic mutated wolf. She was also set the task of searching for the goddesses lost soul, which was her source of power. But because god's and goddesses souls are the sources of their power, they can run out like a battery. And after they run out, they are lost. So before the goddess ran out of power, she transformed the human into a wolf which turned out to be mutated due to the low power. Mortem is told by Leto that she is the only one of her kind supposedly to of ever been created....unless Zeus throws one of his angels out of heaven and they become the "fallen." Little does Mortem know that she isnt alone on the strange planet that she is sent to to retrieve Leto's lost soul.
