1252 years ago in Tirion, the city of the Noldor in Aman, a young Loremaster was born. Quickly, however, murmurs of how he was 'different' gave unrest to an already distraught city, left disheveled after the Kinslayings and battles before their time. Aiwendil grew up in an abusive home, learning quickly how this strange power within him and his own heart were but a curse in the Lands of which he grew. When he reached a more mature age of 497, the elf began getting inquiries for marriage. His parents sought to strengthen the dying Noldorin line of elves. But Aiwendil's heart betrayed their ideals, being taboo in his thoughts of love for other males. He was cast away, sent to Middle Earth to live on his own, banished and hated like the rest of his brethren for their horrible crimes. But once arriving, Lord Elrond saw in him a great deal and made a promise. He would teach the elfling the ways of healing magics and loremastery whilst under his roof. For there were many great things he saw in his future, if not but stricken with more hardships along the way. He would need to be prepared. These are his chronicles. The Elvenking is like a very strong, old tree, deeply rooted in the kingdom he pledged himself to protect. He also pledged himself to protect his heart from love, out of fear that it might weaken him, but that proved to be disastrous. Love... what daunting word rubbed in his face by that fearless redhead elleth during the battle in Dale. Is there any love left in him? Follows what happens with Thranduil and Tauriel after BOTFA, during the War of the Ring and further into the 4th Age. Mainly from Thranduil's POV and including canon events that are only briefly mentioned in the books. I try to respect the lore as much as I can. Apart from the romance, I wanted to explore Thranduil's character based on what we know about his life. Feedback and comments are much appreciated :) "His words were unforgiving again, hiding under the same cold tone he had for centuries, yet he could not believe them himself anymore. Tauriel was looking at him, her gaze seemingly piercing through his soul. His dream to restore Mirkwood to Greenwood and his thoughts of avenging his beloved wife were contradicting everything he said. He did not want to care yet every fibre of his being cared too much." "There was something else that Thranduil noticed in Celeborn's eyes: a combination of respect and admiration. 'You are strong, Thranduil. You are like one of the old Mirkwood trees, deeply rooted in the earth, that the centuries cannot wither. I always thought that, no matter what evil lies upon Arda, you will endure.' Set in the world of Middle-earth, during the time of The Rings of Power, Melisane, the youngest sister of Finrod and Galadriel, unlike her sister's mind-reading abilities, possesses the divine gift of prophetic dreams, able to glimpse the future, past, and unseen realms. As a child, she was captivated by tales of dragons-creatures of wind, sky, and fire-and often dreamed of them, their power and grace haunting her thoughts. In the aftermath of the Elves' flight to Middle-earth, the loss of her brother Finrod, and Galadriel's departure to hunt Sauron, Melisane is left battling grief and feelings of abandonment. Despite her skill as a deadly commander and warrior, she struggles to find purpose, withdrawing from those who care for her as her dreams grow stronger. One fateful day, she stumbles upon a newly hatched, abandoned dragon-just as her dreams had foretold. Believing this moment signals a change in her destiny, Melisane takes the creature under her care. Concerned by her reclusive nature, Elrond, the Half-elven, and an old family friend, seeks her out and is shocked to find her raising the dragon. Agreeing to help her, he assumes she will eventually let it go, but their shared bond over the creature slowly rekindles their long-lost friendship-and something deeper. As shadows loom once again over Middle-earth, Melisane and Elrond must navigate the growing darkness, all while facing the uncertain futures that their hearts and dreams reveal. Will their newfound connection withstand the threats closing in, or will the starlight of their bond be consumed by the shadows? _ "You sleep coiled; tightly wound. Hands made fists beneath the pillows, clenched above cotton sheets. You are at war, even in your dreams, cenedril af fae nín. Let me help you."

Where a cursed storyteller is cast out from her homeland. Where a warrior learns what it means to love from afar. Where Layla, after being betrayed by who she thought was her dearest friend, must learn what it means to care again against her own will. A story of a hidden, forbidden love who went through the centuries before finally being addressed. "But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for." ♡ I'll update whenever I can.
