Miss Jacqueline Royles is about to be engaged to Lord Laurence Wakefield, Earl of Quarrick. She seems content with this-until on the night before her wedding, she realizes that by marrying him, she will not achieve her dream of having true love. So she calls it off. Unfortunately, Lord Quarrick does not seem to know the meaning of the words 'call off'. He seems determined to tell her that true love does exist-with him.
