Until 1973, the existence of supernatural creatures to the world what been unknown. They lived in secret, fearing the day of exposure. At time grew on and as technology advanced, it became harder and harder to stay in hiding. A privatized organization, devoted to proving their existence, was finally able to force them out of the shadows. Decades after this discovery, the shockwaves from the event still ripple into the present.

In 2019, the monitoring of the creatures had increased to such an extent that almost no creature could have their identity unknown. This brought retaliation, and with it increased the danger of human lives.

Founding member of the "Department of Supernatural Crime Investigation", vampire Aaron Lancaster must try to survive the new society all while trying to destigmatize his people. Not to mention his latest case assignment: the suspicious string of murders plaguing New York City.
