Humans have wondered if one day they would encounter alien life. They wonder what would they look like,  how they would behave, if they are intelligent or not? One day extraterrestrial activity on Earth spiked. What was once a couple of secretive cover-ups turned into a full-scale invasion. Local militaries were capable of fending off attacks but humanity could not easily unite to deal with this threat. Instead, the nations of Earth all came together in one room the Council of Nations and created the most elite military and scientific organization in human history, tasked with defending them from the alien attack. It was called the Extraterrestrial Combat Unit or XCOM.All Rights Reserved

Until she meets an alien who burns hotter then the sun and who knows too much, and too little, about her kind.

Being part of the forgotten generation had been a blessing in disguise. At first it did not seem so since being abandoned in space was less than desirable. Yet with every loss of life came a new one, day after day, year after year the support from the people back home dwindled as did their dreams of populating the nearby planets. Humanity was once again facing their own mortality. The new colony, in the people's eye, was not yielding favorable results fast enough. Which is when plan B came along, the development of wormholes. It was only after many Centuries did the Earthborns discover the authentic ones, not the man made ones that caused over half the remaining populations' death. With the people of earth focusing all their remaining resources on voyaging to already sustainable planets many light years away, the people of Mars were left to fend for themselves. No amount of riots, protest, and donations from the citizens back home made a difference. Back in the late 1990's a great PC game came out called FREELANCER. It was an open galaxy adventure space game that had a good storyline. I spent untold hours flying through space in this game and I always thought it was ripe for a spinoff side story but I never pursued it. Nearly 30 years later I discovered a website called GOOD OLD GAMES where you could find and download many great games of yore. There I found FREELANCER. So I climbed back into the cockpit of a starfighter after so long and have enjoyed it even more than I did way back when. Once again the possibility of a side story presented itself and this time I have risen to the challenge. I have always been an avid reader of SCI-FI and I will be the first to tell you that I have blatantly used ideas from other sci-fi works in my story. I have also used names of real people and places to flesh out my narrative. And as a warning for those offended by sexual content, I have included some pretty erotic sexual segments in my story, so you may want to close your eyes as you read those parts. If you have ever enjoyed playing the FREELANCER PC game, you may enjoy my story. Let me know. As a side note to the story: In the story there is a space station named Lajes. In the following books I have changed the name from Lajes to Freeport Seven. Sorry if it causes any confusion.

Many others would have to be traveled to after refueling and preparing for another two or three centuries of being in a cryogenic state. For Luna, the girl hopes that space would be her escape from the aliens that destroyed their Earth, but that was only the beginning. Upon arrival, the ship is found infested. Luna and a small team of scientists had come in hopes for finding a cure for the strange virus, only to find the virus had taken over most of The Solar Sun, following a few escaped Irinauts. The Solar Sun is their last hope, and their last escape from these beings, but what's to be found there will change everything.
