This is a story of a cyberpunk revolution. But we do not follow the revolutionary. Cellia Sunway is only 16 years old when her mother commits an unforgivable act. In the futuristic dystopian city of Ebscido, where prosthetics are banned from the upper class regions of the city, the lower class find themselves cut off from the rest, and plunged into a terrible blackout. Without any way to charge themselves, they are cursed to die a slow and lonely death. Guilt troubles Cellia as she calls into question her own morality, family, and existence. Should she hate her own family for the destruction they've caused? Or should she allow herself to care for those she loves despite their crimes? Like all teenagers, she keeps these feelings under lock and key. But it doesn't take long before she's forced to confront everything: including her own right to live. In a post-apocalyptic cyberpunk dystopia, where cybernetics are despised, electricity is vital, and wickedness infests both the rich and the poor, the lives of innocent and guilty on both sides hangs in the balance. And Cellia is the only one who can tip the scales.
