It's said that everyone is born with half their soul. The other half is with another person; their soulmate. Being with your soulmate is a powerful thing, a connection - a magic - that runs deep within the universe. The idea is constantly talked about and romanticized.
Why is it that less than 20% of the population find their soulmate then?
Nico Di Angelo is absolutely fine with never meeting his soulmate. As a matter of fact he'd rather not meet them and he would never give that idea a second thought.
Will Solace dreams of the day he meets his soulmate. His own parents are soulmates and a love like theirs is what he desired since he was young.
So what happens if these polar opposites cross paths? What if fate had a different plan for both of them?
And what would happen if something much more dangerous loomed in the not so distant future for all of these high school students?

Soulmate Cinderella AU- Solangelo
Nico had been mistreated all their life, by their father, stepmother, siblings, and even their friends. When an invitation arrives from the royal family, inviting them all to a ball, will the fates finally give them a break? Will has always wanted to fall in love. To find his soulmate and be whisked away from his life. He was a prince, yes, but he didn't like his life. Being controlled all the time, having his life already picked out for him, none of it. He would rather be poor than have servants constantly waiting at his beck and call. When a mysterious stranger arrives at his ball, will his dream come true? Soulmates are decided before you're born. Everyone's traits are carefully picked to match the other so they are perfect for each other. Tattoos appear on your body to match your soulmate's personality, favorite things, and important events every birthday you have. Will has 19, Nico has 18. When you meet the other, you get one final tattoo that represents the two of you together and when you learn their name, it appears under it. This is a soulmate Cinderella au. Only first few chapters will be the Cinderella part and then I'm going to write what happened after for the rest. After a wild party on the last day of Junior year, Will Solace may have...accidentally...got way caught up in the alcohol. He may even had hooked up with someone who, in a million years, he would never hook up with. Especially when it risked revealing his sexuality he had been repressing for years. Although, he doesn't entirely remember it, and neither does Nico di Angelo-the annoying know-it-all who always seemed to be more focused on studying than partying. In fact, he didn't even want to go to the party, he was dragged to the place by his step-sister, and he's never been more annoyed by a jock than he has with Will. Plus, he's in love with the hopelessly beautiful Percy Jackson. The two would definitely prefer to go their separate ways-except for the fact that they both ended up at the same summer internship fighting for the same position.
