Two years. Two long years without seeing each other. Both lost and alone in their own way.
Amelia is still living in the home she grew up in, still trying to find herself, still hoping she will learn to forget Derek, her older brothers best friend.
Derek is always moving traveling from place to place, constantly trying to change himself, constantly trying to forget Amelia, his best friends little sister.
Some people however are not meant to be apart. Sometimes two people can't be kept apart.
Sometimes two broken people come together for one important reason. They are simply, better together.

"He seemed like a puzzle to me, and I really liked solving puzzles. But somehow, I don't think that I would ever be able to solve this one." Amelia Heart, with her large smile and her infectious laugh, is what most people would think has the perfect life. They would watch as she went back to her beach house, as she went out of her way to stop and chat to her neighbours, as she would get the perfect grades. She was everything you wanted to be, and yet nobody had gotten close enough to her to understand her life in this small town at all. When her plans of leaving suddenly change, and she is forced to start attending the local school, her life takes a route that she hadn't accounted for. A new group of friends, a chance at a normal teenage life, even a potential love interest - things that Amelia had never even thought about happening after everything she'd been through. But happiness is only temporary in her life, and she knew that. It wasn't surprising to her when her past began to catch up with her present, it was simply a good thing that it had taken as long as it had. Things start happening in Amelia's life that simply don't make sense, even to her. They do say you should always keep an eye over your shoulder, especially when you know you're being hunted, but for Amelia, even an eye in every direction wouldn't be enough. Time begins counting down, fast. Did she want to involve her friends? Could the new people in her life be trusted? She wouldn't have long to make a decision. Not before her world comes blazing down, the final battle on the horizon. Tick, tock, Amelia. You don't want to be late to the party when you're the guest of honour. COMPLETED 06/11/20
