He was the new boy in town. He was the new student of Lakewood High. He was Blake; the one who, on his first day, fought the school's jock. He seemed like the type who was used to carry around a few rumors on his shoulders. Skyler, who's been away for two weeks, is told to stay away. Soon she realizes – that's easier said than done. What happens when she gets in between an unresolved past while she has to focus on her family more than anything? What happens when it's too hard to stay away from someone who will turn out to be a bigger help than Skyler ever thought was possible? And what happens if there are untold secrets, an important bucket list and love gets in between?

"Do you have any idea what you do to me?" Weston asked suddenly, voice low but not soft-frustrated. I blinked. "What?" He laughed under his breath. "Forget it. If I tell you, you'll never look me in the eyes again." ❄︎❄︎❄︎ Skyler never wanted to stand out, he just wanted a fresh start. After losing his family, his friend Matthew and his family took him in, and now in highschool, he's determined to keep his head down. But when a secret gossip account, exposes Skyler's past, thanks to Leo, an old friend turned traitor, the bullying he thought he left behind returns. Alone again, Skyler hides his pain behind a smile. Weston Wilder, football captain and Matthew's best friend, never cared much for Skyler. But after seeing the damage done, and how much it's hurting Matthew, Weston steps in. At first, it's just to help his best friend. But the more he tries to stay detached, the harder it becomes to ignore Skyler or the way he makes Weston feel. Enemies aren't supposed to matter. But maybe, sometimes, they do.
