"You've spent your whole life ignoring your friends when they talk about their love lives and shutting down every boy who wants to go out with you. I'm afraid you need a teacher." I snort. "Who am I going to find that wants to teach me how to get a boyfriend?" I realize the answer to my superficial question too late. "Me, duh." All Noa Dailey wants out of high school is her diploma. To be in and out as quickly as possible and to start her life for real. But loneliness is an unwanted companion that has haunted Noa for much of her life and she's ready for a change. Luckily, a friend of her older brother's steps up with an offer: he will teach Noa how get any guy to chase her, instead of the other way around. No strings attached. For now. Her situation becomes increasingly more complicated, with her father in prison and old connections resurfacing. In this tangled mess of a life, Noa is willing to go far for happiness, but with so many obstacles in her path, that happiness is slipping further from her grasp than ever.

Complete! "You know I really like you, right?" He was definitely drunk. "You do?" I asked. My voice was supposed to be teasing, but I think it came off as a bit startled. He laughed, "Yeah, why else would I trust you with all my secrets?" -- Betty was many things; a romantic, a fashion designer, a bit more jealous than the average girl, great with a camera, a helpful daughter and a good friend. But she was best known for being nice. And usually, the boy did not want the 'nice' girl. But this summer she was going to prove to Mike, her crush since FOREVER, that nice was enough. She was going to have an amazing summer, a perfect Junior year, and finally have her first kiss. It was a foolproof plan. Moving from her childhood home in Arizona to New Mexico at the start of Junior year was never a part of Betty's plan. But sometimes when parents are involved, plans change. So now the nice girl had to start over at a new school in a new State. And when the (maybe not so bad) bad boy, Eli, gets involved, it might be hard to be known as 'the nice girl'.
