When Asher finally lost her sight at age ten, she began to take things in black and white. She would say what she wanted to say, no matter if it hurt someone or not. Asher didnt care about others feelings. She wanted to get things done and over with. When she was fifteen, she wanted to learn how to play the drums. As she nears her birthday, making her seventeen, something happens. She finally gets her chance to change her wishes and dreams into reality. She meets people who will change her life forever, and she learns things about herself that she didnt know before. And maybe, just maybe, the world will have color for her again

After an accident in eighth grade, Louisa Kelley was blind. Every day was a struggle for her as she tried to adjust to life both at school and at home, but life got easier with practice. As soon as Louisa entered high school, things had changed for the worse. The students around her bullied her because she was different, harassing her, stealing her things, and talking about her behind her back, making an already difficult life so much harder.
