What caused Macbeth's reluctance when killing Duncan ? This is a poem that explores a fateful meeting and lends a possible reason to Macbeth's initial reluctance to kill Duncan and his eventual acceptance of fate when Macduff slaughtered him upon Dunsinane Hill

Tragedy strikes at the heart of the Rundilean Empire. A king has been murdered and the long sustained peace is threatened for the first time since the founding of the empire, generations ago. All the while, to the far north, in a desolate land known only as the Tundra, an old enemy is stirring for the first time in thousands of years. Amongst the political discord and supernatural strife, sits Audriel Pellinor, heir to the throne of the empire, who refuses to follow tradition and find a husband. This epic tale follows a myriad of people across the empire who have everything at stake in this plight. At the center of it all, Audriel struggles with the uncertainty of who she can trust as plots abound to kill her and usurp her throne. First draft completed. Will be editing hard copy now. Note, I'm in the process of adding character lists at the back of the book for any who might be confused as to who is who.
