"The origin of super-powers: On Earth, the first organism that had the ability to think emotionally had a significant mutation: it could use what we consider superpowers to express their personalities if they were exposed to formerly undiscovered radiation, called "Omega Radiation". Two-million years later, humanity emerges with this same gene, creating the first super-humans, or power-ups, as we call them. They were revered as Gods, but people obviously became fearful. So, the heroes had to conceal themselves for years, hiding who they were from the "Powerless" ones. Today, during the year 2102, this gene has not escaped us. Anyone can have power; anyone can be a Power-Up. The Power-Ups are greatly prejudiced and are still not accepted as humans. Many embrace this and try to assert dominance; others try to fight to show that they are not inhuman, but are still held back due to having powers, and many people's stubbornness. However, we must always remember that we are ALL human, and the Power-Ups' powers are part of everyone."
-part of Theodore Smith's high school essay for his history project back in 2102. He is more commonly known as "The Guardian", today, and the main superhero in New York and now the superintendent of the "Power-Up Training Program", based in Ontario, Canada, in the year 2134.
((Author's Note: This story will not be especially serious, but it won't be happy-go-lucky. This story is meant to straddle the line of comedy and tragedy, like Romeo and Juliet, but with less romance and emotion-based decisions that end in death.))

The Virus Within: The Unranked (Book 4)

50 parts Complete

Season 4 of The Virus Within Trinity is familiar with zombies, being one herself, but when strange zombies start appearing, she realizes that the world she knew might be changing yet again. When a dangerous set of scientific notes are discovered, Trinity and her friends don't realize anything is wrong until a frantic radio call comes in. Unaware of the notes, they race to the south and struggle to determine where the strange zombies came from. The zombies are unlike any ranks previously seen, and they aren't as predictable. Some have new tricks hidden up sleeves, forcing any Stronghold they encounter to quickly adapt to the new challenge or risk being overrun. Secrets never remain hidden, and zombie apocalypses never make life easy.
