Everyone has had a moment in their life, which you later regretted so much. Maybe you are still bothered by it or not at all. To be honest, if something happens that causes you so much pain and you feel a part of yourself being removed, then you can say that you have lost a piece of your soul. You cannot forget the feeling, but you can learn to deal with it. At the end you will be on top.
What if you are supernatural and you lose part of your soul. At some point your soul is so broken that it falls apart. Your whole soul and your physical radiance fall faster than the light towards another universe called earth. You are coming and you are trying to restore your soul so that you can return to your own world. What would you do then? Would you like to stay stuck in a place where you are not happy? Well..? No hey, you would prefer to go back!
