Forced out of his bunker due to a raid, Samuel Bates is on his in the vast lands of Canada own with only a light jacket, his father's combat knife, and a makeshift gas mask to start with. Will he survive? or will the coldness of a nuclear winter get to him?
This story will be told in short journal entries by Samuel Bates, an old man retelling his life.

1st of January (Ghost X f!Reader)
Since the 1st of January, the world is in shambles. Almost all life has been eradicated by nuclear bombs and radiation, except for a few individuals that survived the war in bunkers. Two of these people are the former Lieutenant Simon „Ghost" Riley and a young medical student, who end up in the same bunker near Manchester, together with a large group of other evacuated civilians. When this safe space's order collapses and a desperate fight for survival breaks out, the two of them meet by coincidence and form an alliance. Maybe together, they can survive the end of the world.
Exclusion Zone
In the year 2086, the world is a graveyard of ash and radiation. Seventy-four years ago, an unexplained solar surge triggered a catastrophic event known as The Meltdown-a chain reaction that detonated every nuclear reactor on Earth. The first to go were Chernobyl's aging reactors, followed by the rest, plunging humanity into an age of fire, famine, and unrelenting nuclear winter. In the ruins of Seattle, now one of the most hostile wastelands on the planet, Cody Sarge emerges from a bunker that was once his family's salvation. Alone and desperate, he must navigate The Exclusion Zone, a nightmarish landscape of collapsed skyscrapers, irradiated rain, and grotesque mutants warped by decades of radiation exposure. But the creatures aren't the only horrors lurking in the ruins-something else stirs beneath the ruins, something drawn to the echoes of the past. With only his father's old rifle and a fading map scrawled with warnings, Cody embarks on a journey to find any remnants of civilization. But in The Exclusion Zone, survival isn't just about fighting the elements or avoiding the monsters in the dark-it's about confronting the truth of what The Meltdown really was... and what still lingers at its core. When 18 year-old trust fund kid Quinn York's tourist shuttle to Mars unexpectedly crashes, he wakes up only remembering one name: Celeste. A "Choose Your Own Adventure" if you will! It is up to you as the readers to determine the actions of Quinn York. I don't know how this story will turn out, and I'm excited to see what path it takes. Will Quinn be a fearless raider killer or will he become the most horrible human being on the planet?
