- Five strangers: a wizard, a knight, a banshee, an elf, and a stone golem.
- One quest: locate the lost island of Aunios and retrieve a legendary dark magic weapon.
- One problem: They don't get along.

The wizard, Llyr, works in the library and has no experience in the field. The knight, Triskell, has terrible people skills. Nemo, the banshee, has talent but doesn't seem to care about anything. Rose, a blind elf, uses magic to heal but needs constant protection. A nine-foot-tall chunk of granite, Gabe the golem has lots of muscle but little brain.

Their quest is difficult enough, but the real challenge is learning to work as a team. When the quest takes an unexpected turn, the fate of the entire kingdom may depend on how well they can get along.
