Xyra Phantomhive has been living on the streets of Tokyo for as long as she can remember. Her best friend, Akira, was her saviour from insanity, though he does think she still is crazy.
When Akira locks her out of their apartment on accident, she gets approached by a blonde man, rather attractive, actually. He seems to want her to go to school. Because that's totally believable, right? Of course he doesn't want to kidnap her and shove her into a black van by which she'll get driven to some underground auction and then get sold off.
Well. Apparently he really doesn't want to. Odd, but true. Instead of being sold as a slave, she gets put into a school for people like her. Those with gifts such as hers.
