Alia Martin just wants to have a normal life like everyone else. Normal friends, normal family, normal hobbies. Doesn't sound too difficult to achieve, right?
Well, it's impossible to be normal when during the day you're a student at an elite academy, and at night you're a top ranking javelin. Those two don't really mix, especially when you're bound by contract to never reveal your identity to the public. 
Robot boxing is a thing of the past, a new competitor has stepped up to the plate. 
Welcome to Jinx, a rigorous competition between the most savage of beasts. After thousands of experiments gone wrong, the Shikari were born, and the blood began to spill. Technological advancements allowed mind and body to become one, merging two minds together for the sake of entertainment, without consequence. You lose, you try again. You rip, tear, build, form your Shikari. Anything to win. They're just experiments after all. 
But, what happens when you stay merged for too long? When damages begin to spread from Shikari to javelin? When thoughts begin to mix and reality is no longer in sight?

Plans aren't Ramet's forte and when things backfire on her final job for Whyan, she has to act fast, trust a government official to do the right thing, and try and stay alive in the process. One last fight. One last drink. And then happily ever after is within Ramet's grasp. It's just ... forever is a long time. This is a spin off from Sorcha The Alien and can be read as a standalone story and its sequel is Ditch Me.
