But then, a new boy started at Ridge-view Middle School on the first day of 7th grade. On the first day of school, he became friends with all of Kaylie's friends and became popular too. A few days into the year, Kaylie and Tom met and they were instantly friends. They did all their assignments together, talked all the time, hung out all the time, and eventually became best friends.
