"Why don't you want me?" I asked, desperately - probably not a good look on me.

He looked at me incredulously. "The answer... isn't that simple," shoving his hands in his pockets.

"Then why don't you just tell me? I'll help!" I tried again.

"Goddamnit, Madison!" He yelled, slamming his fists on the lockers, making them rattle. He looked at me with gold eyes.

"I'm already trying so hard to stay in control! You have no idea what you're doing to me," he whispered the last part mostly to himself, but I heard it all.

And with that, he stormed off, leaving me all alone and confused.
