Normani Evans was born with powers, she can turn invisible with a thought. Because of this, she is able to put on magic shows where she disappears and reappears. The crowds are amazed and Normani is able to pay the rent and take care of her daughter without interruption.

Except for when an agent of HYDRA attends one of her shows and realizes that her disappearing act isn't just a trick, but an ability. And a darn good one to use for HYDRA's own good.
