Esteban has had an affair with Pierre. One of the Torro Rosso mechanics has found out and threatened to spill Esteban's secret. To save his reputation at Mercedes, Esteban pays the mechanic a sum of money in various amounts to cover it up.
Brendon found out about the money and confronted Esteban, believing he was paying for team secrets and strategies. Esteban publishes, in print and online, an account of the affair in hopes to save his seat.
The pamphlet causes an uproar in the Paddock, and Esteban's fiancé is left heartbroken from the betrayal.
