I sat down on the warm sand, feeling it squish between my toes. The sun was beaming down burning my olive skin, and not one single cloud was in place. "I actually wanted to tell you something.." the handsome man beside me murmured, my heart sped up hearing the shyness in his voice I turned my body round to face him . Seeing him staring away at the distance, running a hand through his dark brown hair nervously as a bit of redness stained his cheeks. "you can tell me anything Jordan" I smiled warmly at him, noticing how he relaxed slightly. Its so relaxing here in California, watching everyone laughing and smiling away with their family as they play in the sea or sunbathe on the sand letting the sun beam down on them without a care in the world. I watched with a large smile plastered on my face seeing a tiny boy with blonde curly hair shyly ask Jordan to throw the ball back "here you go mate" Jordan smiled warmly as he watched the kid run away with his friends. Jordan turned his body to look at me, watching as his chocolate brown eyes stared deeply into my boring green ones, I watched as different emotions flickered through his eyes leaving my heart thumping and my palms to sweat "I just wanted to say that I like-" he didn't get to finish his sentence as we all heard a loud bang, followed my piercing screams. I froze in my spot, the excited nerves I once felt turned into fear, what was that noise? Bang. It was gunshots. The fresh breeze turned into a hellish freeze and the one lone gunshot turned into a mass amount. I watched as everyone pushed and shoved to get away, the once relaxing beach turned into one of chaos as everyone ran screaming as they feared for their and their families lives and their survival instincts kicked in. The boy I called my 'holiday romance' is saving my life.
