A young earthbender man comes to terms with the fact that a desert spirit has been living within him for his whole life, and then he must try to seek out his path of fate. When he is saved by a banished prince, he owes him his life - and Sabaku will do anything to help repay the debt he now has with Prince Zuko. Join Sabaku as he walks down the road of destiny and discovers just how powerful his inner sand spirit can help him become - as well as the little flame that he was fated to rekindle.

There is an old folklore about the Children of the Forest. They were mortal spirits who were the First Benders with the ability to travel freely to the spirit world and to the human realm. Each with their own element of air, water, earth and fire. They were one with their elemental animals and travelled the spirit and human realm freely. Fire Lord Azulon was one of the very few humans aware that this folklore was more than a mere legend, although slightly altered, but factual. He sought out dragons and in one of his searches he found a Child of the Forest with a Fire Element by sheer unfortunate luck and after defeating her, he imprisoned her. (Y/N) was seen as the key object of victory within the Fire Nation and a driving force of power to their legacy and supremacy but to Zuko she was not a weapon of mass destruction or a spirit creature; she was so much more. As the Sozins Comet approaches and the Avatar Aang prepares to face Firelord Ozai with the help of his friends, it's clear that Zuko and (Y/N)'s paths are more far apart than they know. However, an incident occurred on 83 Ag that shook both the mortal and spirit worlds combined. Due to the chaos caused by the fire nation and the absence of the avatar, Two powerful spirits that were once sealed in the spirit world by, Wan, the first avatar have managed to escape the spirit world and reincarnated into human vessels. The Dragon spirit Ryo and his lover Kitsune the Fox goddess. Kaito the reincarnation of Ryo, the dragon spirit, was born in the Southern Water tribe as the oldest child of Hakoda and Kya. When he was eleven, the Fire Nation raided the Southern Water Tribe, which resulted in his mother's death and his capture, which left his family in agony after losing their mother and older brother. However, three years later, Kaito who was Fourteen unexpectedly returned to the Southern Water Tribe, which left everyone stunned for a bit before welcoming him back. When his family asked what happened to him, he would always avoid answering the questions or just ignore them altogether. He took part in the war with his father and for the past two years had developed not just his water-bending abilities, but also his combat capabilities to the fullest.
