The world as you once knew it is gone. The beautiful parks where your parents used to take you are gone and in its place are barren places with grass that comes up to your waist. The old, beautiful buildings are crumpling a part. All of them except for those in the Protected Zone, those buildings are still up and running so that we can be safe. But I don't even know if safe is the right word I'm looking for.

Welcome to Tutis Mancipium a place that offers safety from the new world that has been created but there is one teenage girl that disagrees with the system the Officials have created. Rayla Westgate is left alone in this new world without the only person she had left. Her mother. Rayla is determined to find her and bring her to the Protected Zone of this new city but the Officials have a plan to stop her. Every turn is filled with danger for Rayla as she enters the Restricted Zone and the Officials start their hunt for the one girl that could bring their world to a pile of ashes.

*Book #1 In The Crashing Series* A long time ago, people used to think that Earth would be taken over by aliens. That we would all be destroyed from their advanced technology and uncaring demeanor towards Earthlings and our entire mass population in general. That we would be picked off like mice in a locked maze, all fighting to save ourselves, all trying to get to the cheese that was freedom. But we didn't know that the only thing that would destroy us would inevitably be ourselves. We didn't know that our planet was dying before our very eyes and our countries were at constant war with each other, each fighting for more power. More money. More everything. We didn't know....Until it was too late. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Set in the year 2655, Earth has been completely demolished by poverty, famine and war, leaving nothing behind but a handful of survivors and most of the population relocated to space stations. Onboard the Celestial, one of the main stations in the galaxies, is 21 year old Mabel "Mae" Minerva. Forced to board the Celestial as a child many years ago along with her younger sister, Mae has always felt out of place in the galaxy, always preferring to spend her time rebuilding old space equipment then seeking the company of other humans. Though when a rumor is spread that her mother may be alive back on Earth, Mae springs into action to steal an armored spacecraft in hopes to save her mother from an unnatural death back on Earth. But when her miscalculations and malfunctioning ship takes her off course, she crash lands on a planet deemed to be uninhabitable. Until she meets an alien who burns hotter then the sun and who knows too much, and too little, about her kind.

A dystopian thriller that evolves into a violent sci-fi nightmare with hints of monster (very) dark romance. --------- Alice has a good life: a great job, a cozy, paid-off apartment, and a loving husband. She also has an oppressive government, a war-torn city, and general social decay around her, and what seems to be an alien invasion, though nobody is willing to admit it. You know, the kind of things that can really throw a wrench into a morning commute. She should have left a long time ago, but right or wrong, it's her country. What's the worst that could happen? No, seriously, what's literally the worst? ------ It starts as my lightest and most melancholic work, but will end up the heaviest -- expect constantly rising tension as we go from moody dystopia into politics and philosophy into bdsm and violence, and into... oh well, read it. Overarching themes: evolution, adaptation, duty, freedom, metal music. The first 10 chapters are a clean, dystopian, political story. From 11th chapter on, wheels come off. I tried to make it sound universal; still, you can figure out approximately when I had it first outlined. Warnings (from chapter 11 on): violence, attempted SA, dubcon, smut. ----------- If you are reading this story on any other platform other than Wattpad you are very likely to be at risk of a malware attack. The Debt Collectors War by TessMackenzie
96 parts Complete
Ellie is a soldier in a world without governments. A generation ago, a series of financial crises caused most of the world’s governments to collapse, and left many of the people in those countries in terrible personal debt. Since then, the worst debtor nations have been under military occupation by the troops of the debt recovery corporations, and the worst debtor of all is Měi-guó, the old United States. Ellie is serving in the Afghan Police Action when she receives bad news from home. She is told the daughter she hasn’t seen in years is dead. She flies home from war, upset, to do what needs to be done, but once there she finds out all is not as it seems. Ellie’s daughter is alive and unhurt. She is being held by of one of the many debt-recovery corporations. Held, for leverage, to make Ellie do the corporation a favour. Ellie’s daughter will be returned unharmed if Ellie does as they wish. The son of a company director is lost somewhere in the wilderness of post-debt-restructuring America, and hasn't been seen for three days. The company wants Ellie to go and find the kid, and Ellie doesn't know if she can. The one rule she's stuck to all her working life is to never to go to America, but now she might have to. She will have to, if she wants to save the daughter she hasn't seen in years. This is fairly dark and gritty near-future dystopian SF. ----- Debt Collectors War is now on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00QZG1RHI/ Also on iTunes and B&N and other places. Just if that's easier to read that way! But please don't feel obliged or anything, and thank you for looking -----
