This is a encouraging book that provides information on the everyday struggles that people in the LGBTQ+ community face. Whether that be acceptance, coming out to family and loved ones, or dealing with judgmental people. In this book I tell my personal story and explain how I overcame the obstacles that were put in my path.

(Book 1 of 7) *complete* I fell for Alberta Anderson when I was a teenager, she was my childhood best friend. It was a slow and steep descent into an all-encompassing love. To be Allies favourite person in the world, and yet to yearn for more...to dare to yearn for more. It was torturous, and before I would ever get to confess it, another came along who dared to be braver than me and fell in love with her and all that she was too, my older brother Ben. Ben was sensible enough to propose and claim her for eternity with a band of gold and a seal in our temple, all at the tender age of eighteen. Our church, you know that infamous one in Utah? Yeah that one. Their wedding day would mark the day I left Utah, the church and my family, the month I announced I was gay and was sent away... there was no room for gay here...and in turn no room for me. Allie wouldn't understand, my absence, or my silence...and five years would pass...painfully for us both. Allie had a child, I went to college, feelings got left buried, but thoughts were daily, and she never left my mind...not for a day, and what I didn't know was that she was in that same place...lost and waiting for me to return. And I would return... one christmas five years later... and with me every feeling and emotion resurrected. Our teens were only the beginning because the journey to Alberta was about to span through our twenties and into our thirties. A journey home. *** Willa Jameson. When I hear that name in church one Sunday afternoon, it is five years later, five years I've not seen her but the name stirs a pain inside of me still. My life starts and ends with Willa Jameson and she has no idea. Mature content marked in chapters with a * *Completed March 2022. Opposites attract. Right? Love stories claim that there is no truer phrase. That there is nothing more romantic than two people discovering each other, realizing they don't hate each other as much as they thought they did. Real life shows that it is a little more complicated than they want us to believe and to be cautious. Jennifer and Destiny, on the other hand, think that feeling that kind of attraction is nothing but a torture, a curse. Just a bad twist of fate. Yet that is exactly how their story began. With a terrible accident and two pairs of eyes lost in each other for a second too long. Just enough to set off a spark. Love stories would say that the spell is fulfilled, the attraction is born and a happy ending is assured. Real life would suggest staying grounded and not getting overwhelmed by passion. Jennifer and Destiny think it would have been better if they had never met.
