Book 1 in the Spiritmal series 

Emily is a young girl who has always dreamed to become a racer and own her very own spiritmal. However, the oughts are against her as her family does not have any track record of anyone in the past ten generations owning a spiritmal, let alone being a racer.  When she gets a ticket to seeing a live spiritmal race on her twelfth birthday, she immediately jumps at the chance of being able to encounter a race up close. Follow the adventures of Emily as she explores the strange world of Spritmals in a bid to become a racer as well.

Being the younger sister is not easy, even if it is just by a year. Having a brother that doesn't know much about Pokemon is even worse.
