Rebekah Mikaelson ist wie ihre, noch lebenden, Brüder Elijah und Niklaus ein Urvampir. Nach dem Tod ihrer anderen Geschwister braucht sie abstand und beschließt aus Mystic Falls weg, nach Forks zu ziehen, da sie in dem Kaff eine sehr schöne Zeit hatte. Weil sie noch keinen Abschluss hat, meldet sie sich an der Forks High-School an. Dort lernt sie auch die Cullens kennen mit denen sie sich sofort gut versteht. Nach anfänglichen Problemen, besonders mit einem von ihnen. Ist es vielleicht mehr als Freundschaft? Was wird sie noch erwarten ?
