The story continues. . .

FBI Agent Jack Rhodes managed to escape death for the second time.

Barely.

One year later, as Commander of his own Major Crimes unit, he finally is doing what he loves: stopping crimes and dealing out justice to those who break the law.

For the most part.

His new partner-in-justice tends to balance the moral razor's edge of black and white. And she does it with a brilliant smile.

Doctor V.C. Coldwater is back and as sassy as ever. Happy as ever to meddle in Jack's affairs (albeit legally this time), she always seems to find trouble at the precisely wrong moment.

When a decapitated head rolls into their laps (quite literally), Jack and V.C. find they must once again put their own heads together and find the murderer.

As one body turns into three, the partners come to the conclusion a spree-killer is terrorizing the streets of Bleeding Heart. And has been for quite some time.

However, their newly minted partnership starts to strain when the secrets of the past are all too deep and consuming.

With the threat of QueenKiller looming in the background, its a race against time to find the murderer.

Or die trying.
