Mia Jones is a shy, scared young 24-year old working as a maid for a family in order to have a place to live and make a living. Having given up on her dreams if becoming a writer to take care of her ill mother, who passed away the previous year, Mia finds herself feeling lost and out of place, not knowing where to go, or who to trust. Facing her fears of the world around her, she decides to get out of the home she shared with her mother and keep her head low, doing as she's told by the family she now works for. Unfortunately for Mia, this family has a son her age who shows no mercy and will completely shatter anyone who dares to talk to him. This rude guy with the bad attitude goes by the name of Jack, a heartless soul whose words contain nothing more than pure venom. What happens when he sees the fragile girl hidden in the shadows?
