Clay Calloway, a wizard cop aka Enforcer in Astervale, New York, year 4146, encounters questions, questions, and more questions as he and his team investigate a grisly double homicide. When they finally have a decent lead, will they follow it to the answers they seek or will the water get hot enough to boil Clay alive? Daydream Walking is a murder mystery futuristic fantasy/historical fiction fusion novel that is still in the works! These are the first nine, original, raw chapters! These have been betaread but are mostly unedited and there is no promise that they will make it into the final, finished novel either. I have yet to finish the first draft and I've already changed my mind about where I want the story to start.

"...Why? Why can't I just tell her no? Why can't I just walk away? Why does she seem to pull me right back in every time I get the courage enough to leave?" said Ali. A dreamer, and being a free spirit at heart she has had many...encounters as she likes to say, but this one is different. Kensly Thompson. There was just something about that Kensly. But 3 months into them seeing each other she goes missing. After being reported missing by Ali she gets a call from an anonymous number warning that all the clues are right in front of her, in the poetry. What will Ali do? Will she just leave it up to the police to do they're job? Or will she fight for the woman she loves?
